FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BOARD APPROVES EXPANDED TUITION WAIVER FOR UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS EDWARDS CAMPUS STUDENTS FROM THE KANSAS CITY METRO AREA
(TOPEKA) – Yesterday, the Kansas Board of Regents approved an expanded tuition waiver package for graduate and undergraduate students from 11 Missouri counties in the Kansas City Metro area. The tuition waiver, currently available to students from four Missouri counties provides reduced tuition rates for degree-seeking graduate and undergraduate students, with a limit of six credit hours. The approved changes will:
“Expanding the Edwards Campus MetroKC Tuition Waiver program is a great opportunity for the University of Kansas to attract talented individuals to Kansas through top-tier higher education programs,” said Ed McKechnie of Arcadia, Chair of the Kansas Board of Regents. “The Board is pleased to support innovative and cost effective avenues to increase enrollments at Kansas institutions.
